EMILY THOMPSON FLOWERS EMILY THOMPSON FLOWERS

BEEKMAN STREET ATELIER

Our HQ for a number of years was in New York’s historic Seaport district.  There, we lived with the ghost of Melville and the origins of our metropolis.  From this very tip of Manhattan, our flowers seeded all of the isle and beyond.  Our space offered up an instantaneous experience of our sensibility and inner workings– both a response to the historical context of the neighborhood, but also a sharply contemporary and singular point of view.  The studio was visible to intrepid visitors, and the shop showcased works, collaborative and otherwise, by artists and friends such as Mark Gagnon, Frances Palmer and Malia Jensen.
