EMILY THOMPSON FLOWERS EMILY THOMPSON FLOWERS

APPARATUS INTERLUDE

An abandoned Harlem theater, once a home for vaudeville and the first talkies, came back to life this  night in all its decrepit glory. The peeling proscenium  overlooked our organic towers and disks and a vast crowd of costumed revellers.  Our designs originated from sources ranging from Egyptian scrolls and Grecian urns to 1960’s era UFO depictions.  We hunted smokebush over hill and dale, and finally convinced a trucker in North Carolina to bring us our misty treasure.
