SUMMER WEDDING IN SUN VALLEY
September in the high desert of Idaho demanded a response to the distinct, magnificent landscape. We climbed mountains and scoured the area for aspen, poplar and boxelder to be culled for the enormous forest installation that framed the tent. We gathered native laurels, fruiting scrub brush, and wild hops to form the base of hundreds of feet of garland. Locally grown cosmos, elderberries, rosehips and raspberry whips embellished these textures to create a bridge between the untamed rough crags of the mountain range and the shelter of its cultivated valleys. Our team was supported by the resourcefulness and ingenuity of many local, like-minded folks who humored our maddening quests with grace and aplomb.
